THE BAND

WELL, IT ALL STARTED WHEN...Steve ‘Bass Man’ Landis and Jim ‘Fat Back’ Korton were hittin’ the streets looking for some ‘musicians’ to form a band - the year was 1994. Steve and Jim went to every open mic in town searching for the right ones. They found some promising talent, but more turkeys and wannabe’s than anything else.

About this time, they found the phone number of a keyboard player that had auditioned for the Rhythm Riders, their last band. After three weeks of phone calls, Al Poliak called back one night and said, “Sure, I’d love to jam. Mind if I bring a couple players along?”

The appointed night arrived, and these two long-haired guitar players and Al showed up ready to play. Talk about destiny - after playing 30 or 40 tunes that they all mutually knew, the obligatory side bar meeting, and the Xchange Band was born!

The guitar players were none other than Joe Conti and Willy ‘Stratman Willy’ Fox. So, some ten years later and, with the exception of Joe retiring to pursue a wife, they’re still playing harder than ever.

For those of you that have watched and listened all these years, the band thanks you for your support. It’s all about the music! With a little luck, you’ll see ‘em for another ten years! And remember... ”JUST ONE MORE” !!!!
